Where do your cigars come from?

Every Volcán Reserve cigar is hand-rolled in our factory in Honduras using long-leaf Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco grown in volcanic soil, with imported wrapper leaf where the blend calls for it (Ecuadorian Connecticut, Cameroon, Mexican San Andrés and Connecticut Broadleaf).

What does 'manufacturer-direct' actually mean?

There is no importer, distributor or retailer between the factory and you. The same cigars sold through a traditional three-step chain carry roughly three margins; ours carry one. That is the entire business model.

Can I buy a single cigar before committing to a box?

Yes. Every blend is sold as a single, a 5-pack or a full box. If you're new to the line, the 20-cigar Concierge Sampler gives you two of all ten blends arranged from mild to full.

How does the palate quiz work?

You pick any combination of seven things you already have opinions about — coffee, whisky, scotch, chocolate, steak, beer and cheese — and answer short questions about how you take them. Those answers map onto five cigar traits (strength, body, sweetness, smokiness, spice), then our concierge analysis reads your specific answers and recommends a wrapper, a phase of the tasting flight and the blends that fit.

Do I need an account to take the quiz?

No. You can complete the quiz as a guest and see your full results. Creating a free account saves your profile so the shop sorts by match score and the blend builder pre-fills.

How long does US shipping take?

Orders leave the factory within 48 hours. Standard delivery to the continental United States typically arrives in 5–9 business days; expedited options are quoted at checkout. See the shipping page for details.

Will the cigars arrive dry?

No. Boxes are packed in cedar and shipped in a humidity-controlled mailer with a two-way humidity pack. If a shipment arrives out of condition, tell us within seven days and we'll replace it.

How should I store them?

Hold them at 65–70% relative humidity and 65–70°F. A basic desktop humidor or a sealed container with a 65% two-way pack is plenty. Let cigars rest for a week after shipping before you judge a blend.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet — we currently ship to the United States only. Tell us where you are through the contact form and we'll notify you when that changes.

Do you require age verification?

Yes. Volcán Reserve sells only to adults 21 and over, and all deliveries require an adult signature.
